On standing up before a crowd to read poetrification
I've never stood up to read or perform a poem before
well not really I mean not in a way that resembles any kind of live event setting, and I've always had my doubts about how the poem should be read, I mean how is it that things said can be listened to, not interrupted and are supposed to somehow be interpreted in the fashion that I intended? It's akin to gazing at a painting but only allowing the briefest of moments - every person would take something different see some other thing of relevance to themselves, maybe in their circumstance? Then what now, for this performance?
[Long pause] Long pause there I remember writing long pause on the paper for I wanted to have a moment where I could look up to return a glare /slash see if anyone were still there...
